Landscape Superintendent
Summary: The Landscape Superintendent is the lead project manager and project foreman for large scale landscape projects. This position is designed to work in the field every day in order to manage the day-to-day operations of a large-scale commercial landscape project. The Landscape Superintendent serves as a liaison between field production teams, office-based leadership teams, project management teams as well as client relationships and relevant subcontractors.
Duties and Expectations:
- Oversee, lead and manage all aspects of project execution and day-to-day operations of large scale commercial landscape projects
- Lead, manage and oversee 6+ project foreman assigned to project
- Maintain clear, consistent and effective communication with project clients and contractors
- Maintain clear, consistent and effective communication with project managers associated with large scale landscape projects
- Manage and oversee organization of all project materials, change orders, equipment and personnels needs
- Create and oversee the execution of team schedules and landscape schedules from project start to completion
- Assist in day-to-day and on-the-ground operations of the project as needed
- Adapt project materials, orders, timelines, schedules, equipment and personnel to meet on-going demands and dynamics of project
- Maintain and continue to increase a strong knowledge base in irrigation, plant material, drainage, and equipment relevant to landscape projects
- Demonstrate and practice excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant web-based programs
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in commercial irrigation
- 5+ years in commercial landscaping
- 5+ years leadership and management experience
- Degree in horticulture, turf grass management, construction management or related field
- Strong communication skills and leadership skills
