Summary: The Sports Field Construction Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with sports field installation from project start to completion. This role will lead, manage and oversee project crews to ensure the quality, safety and timely execution of each project.
Duties and Expectations:
- Oversee, lead and manage all aspects of the installation of sports fields from project start to completion
- Oversee, lead and manage quality control of irrigation systems
- Oversee, lead and manage project crews of four or more on the day-to-day operations of sports field installation
- Maintain and continue to increase a strong knowledge base in irrigation systems, soils, soil amendments, drainage systems, seeding and ground materials (sod, turf, dirt, etc.)
- Operate equipment associated with sports field installation to include skid steers, excavators, trenchers, topcons, etc.
- Maintain clear, consistent and effective communication with project clients, general contractors, subtractors and relevant project managers and administrative staff
- Complete and maintain project work orders in a timely manner
- Maintain timely communication with project managers on required materials
Qualifications:
- 4+ years direct experience working in sports field construction
- 2+ years leadership/management experience
- Degree in horticulture, turf grass management or sports field construction
- Must be willing to travel
